My mailbox overflowed with treasure yesterday-two Manilla envelopes stuffed with thank you letters from students at Raymond Cree Middle School. My heartfelt thanks to Language Arts teachers, Kristen Goerzen and Terri Green for forwarding the notes, and to all the students who wrote them. I look forward to my next visit at Raymond Cree!

Spell Struck Contract!
It's official! I am now under contract with Astraea Press for my second book, Spell Struck, the sequel to Spell Check. I don't have a release date yet, but hope to have the book out by June so everyone can add Spell Struck to their summer reading.

Raymond Cree Middle School Rocks!
I walked Miss Gracie at dawn so I could arrive at Raymond Cree Middle School by 7:30AM. Over the course of six class periods, students packed the library to hear me speak. My big thanks to them and to the gracious teachers (and their essential timekeeping) and the super nice librarian (who snapped photos throughout the day and endured the same speech for six hours!) Thanks, too, to Dr.Tracy Piper, Principal, for inviting me. Everyone was so nice, and I met lots of fun, imaginative students. Thank you! I can't believe I forgot to photograph the teachers and librarian!
Hugs to you all.

James Workman Middle School Hosted Ariella Moon
I just spent a fun morning at James Workman Middle School talking to more than sixty GATE students and their teachers. My thanks to super librarian, Angie Gallacher (pictured above), for inviting me. As a former GATE mom, it was great to be back among such bright, sweet students. Thanks for listening, and for asking great questions! Thank you GATE teachers, for letting me steal your students for awhile.
Big hugs!

Etiquette & Espionage
Ever love a book so much you didn't want it to end? I had to utilize tremendous self-control to make Gail Carriger's new steampunk, YA novel, Etiquette & Espionage last through two short plane flights and a long week-end at PantheaCon. Kudos to Garriger for breaking the New York Times' Hardback YA Bestseller Top Ten list. www.gailcarriger.com/ Fans of fabulous world building and light fun will love Etiquette & Espionage!
