Thanks to all who helped launch my Ariella Moon Facebook Fan Page. Congratulations to Jane Bandy, winner of a ten dollar gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. Whose name will go into the cauldron next? Stay tuned for the next contest! I'm in the middle of a house move, so look for the next contest around Halloween/Samhain - the ticking clock in my novel Spell Check.

Wednesday's Wisdom Card ~ Full Moon ~ Completion
Today's Wednesday Wisdom Card comes from Steven D. Farmer's Earth Magic Oracle Cards. The Full Moon card reminds us that all cycles have their point of fulfillment, and whatever you have been working toward has now reached its stage of completion. Time to exhale the breath you have been holding and relax before you gear up for the next cycle.
What cycle have you recently brought to completion? The For Sale sign went up in front of my house yesterday. After so much preparation, I can now breathe more easily ~ until a contract is signed and the next cycle of my life begins.

Pitching to an Editor or Agent?
Ever need to pitch your manuscript to an editor or agent? Here's the woman to talk to - my friend, author Shannon Monroe. At the recent Romance Writers of America national conference, she helped many aspiring authors hone their pitch. It worked! Lots of requests for full manuscripts. I wasn't pitching this time (Hooray!) but Shannon gave me a key phrase that totally solved my subplot problem with the sequel to Spell Check. Thank you, Shannon!

Oakland Public Libraries' Free Summer Meal Program for Children and Teens
Kudos to the Oakland, California Public Libraries for providing free summer lunches to children and teens in need. Ten Oakland Public Libraries united with the Alameda County Food Bank to provide weekday meals for children 18 and younger. About 250 volunteers pitched in to help. Kids could take classes, surf the Internet, hang out, or read. How awesome is that?

Pam Fryer's latest release, Last Rights
Pam Fryer's July release, Last Rights, has been nominated for Book of the Month
by Long and Short reviews. Pam says, "This book was a labor of love. It was great to get a 5 star review from LASR."
Voting runs only Saturday and Sunday, August 4&5.
http://www.longandshortreviews.blogspot.com/
Pam is an absolute sweetie. Although she writes Mystery and Suspense and I write Young Adult, we both write romance and both think there is too much dark subject matter in the world. I had a great time hanging out with Pam last week at the Romance Writers of America national conference in Anaheim, California. To learn more about Pam and her books, go to
